I finished reading today! It is a marvellous book. There are a lot of things one do not get from reading synopsis. Something lives in all the details through which the author hypnotises his/her readers. Something seeps into the readers' consciousness/subconsciousness. Thus stories with similar synopsis could be completely different. There is no algorithm for producing a good book. It takes one person's life to back it up.
I think Rachael Rosen's revenge was human but it was the cruel type of human.
Wilbur Mercer??? Hallucination?
Then I read the introduction by Graham Sleight. I agree with him for the most part, but I don't think that Deckard fell in love with Rachael Rosen. It was just that they had some interaction so that Rachael was no longer an android in general. The same held for Luba Luft. She/it was special for her performace.
It is also not clear to me that that was a world where love and restoration might be possible.
