Sidonia no Kishi

I finished reading this manga. Which part do I like best? I like it that even though humans were on the verge of extinction, they still held onto their way of life. They still grew rice, had beautiful underwater sightseeing trips, had fancy afternoon tea, produced figurines of the guards... They even preserved a vast swath of cherry blossom trees. I find it really moving to still possess these treasures when the Earth had been long gone.

It could have been that people simply lived on energy bars or that they were not allowed to have any form of entertainment, kept alive efficiently with no regard to one's comfort and dignity, while being expected to be productive, ingenious...
